The May Carnival is going well, with visitors catching up with friends from previous years and the weather so far favourable – everyone is in a holiday mood and enjoying what Swan Hill has to offer with both accommodation and restaurants.

Ladies’ fours on Tuesday were won by J. Curnow’s team from Ballarat, while the runners-up were G. Renn (Mitchem). The men’s fours were won by N. Smith (Racecourse), with the runner-up being G. Richie (Ballarat). Mixed triples on Wednesday were won by Alex Smith’s team (Swan Hill) and M. Dean’s team from Ballarat finishing as runners-up.

Many thanks to all the sponsors who make our May Carnival a great success – and also the many workers – but particularly Tuppy Lewis on the greens, Bill King and Alex Smith on daily draws, Vic and Mick in the bar and the ladies doing a great job with the catering.

Only five days are left of the Carnival and Bill King may still be taking entries, so please contact him on 0428 324 083 or at the clubhouse on 5032 1772 if you would like a game.
