SWAN HILL

ALL is ready for the Swan Hill Bowls Club’s 57th Annual May/Autumn Carnival, to begin tomorrow.

Deputy Mayor Stuart King will open the carnival just prior to 12pm, with bowlers from various parts of Victoria and interstate arriving in town for this popular event over the next 10 days.

There are a variety of events to suit everyone, which are completed on the day of play with prizemoney awarded.

Programs are available at the Swan Hill Bowls Club with entries closing at 2pm on the day prior, please contact Bill King on 0428 324 083 or 5032 4083, with entries still being taken for events after Saturday.

There will be a dinner of roast chicken, vegetables and sweets on Saturday evening, please put your names on the sheet on the notice board for catering purposes, while lunch will be available for purchase on Monday, Thursday and Friday.

Volunteers are needed every day, both inside the club and outside. If you can help in any way, please do so.

There is a catering roster on the Ladies notice board, please put your name up if you can assist.

Friday Frolic will be on today at 3pm, with entries to be in by 2.30pm.

Some of our visitors have entered to get the feel of our excellent greens, so come along and make it a good challenge.

All are welcome to join in, both on the greens and in the clubhouse after the game.

Enjoy a drink, a hot snack or a warm cuppa and try your luck in Mick’s raffles.

Members please note that the Swan Hill Bowls Club AGM will be held in the clubhouse at 2pm on Thursday, June 1, with nomination forms for positions available.
