A GREAT day last Saturday had 36 players competing for the pelican jackpot.

The winning team for the day consisted of Alex Smith (City), Keith Anderson and Lyn Maher (Lake Boga), while the runners-up were Gary McCaig (Murray Downs), Leigh Kingsbury and Jean Leach (Lake Boga).

The jackpot failed to go off, so this Saturday it will be $180.

A big welcome to our newest player for the club Archie Wickham (age 7), who is following in his father Rod’s footsteps, with young Archie playing some very good shots throughout the day.

Social bowls last Wednesday had some very competitive bowling taking place among our members, with the winning team of Jenny Robertson, Danny Kelly and Robyn Jolley winning after two games of 10 ends, with a score of plus six.

Max Parsons, Keith Anderson and Barry Free finished as runners-up, only two shots behind with plus four.

Congratulations to our members on how well they all played.
