The purpose of the meeting is to elect our pennant selectors for the coming season and also our match committee, as well as to receive an update on where the club is at with the new green.

The Racecourse bowlers are enjoying the bowls at the Swan Hill carnival, with many players having success. Saturday was the ladies’ fours event, with Alannah Taylor, Fay Devereux, Carol Smith and Mary Hooper finishing third, while Saturday’s mixed fours was won by Norm Smith, Kylie Gardner, Ron Wolfe and Marg Smith.

Kerry Jenkins finished second in the ladies’ pairs on Monday when she played with Lake Boga’s Sally Meehan. On Tuesday, Neville Smith was part of the winning team from the Ballarat region in the men’s fours, with Glenn McIntosh, Peter Loughran and Bob McIntosh, together with Swan Hill’s Brian Quaife, finishing as runners-up.

Wednesday was the mixed triples and Ron Wolfe, Kerry Jenkins and Clark Jenkins finished as runners-up.
