RACECOURSE

Racecourse held its Tasco Triples on Sunday in cool conditions, with many thanks to all who attended.

The winners for the day were Darryl Barry, Doug Fisher and Noel Delmenico (Murray Downs) with three wins and 77 points, while the runners up, with three wins and 75 points, were Peter Furnell (Murray Downs), Lois Lockhart and Max Renney.

There was no jackpot on Wednesday, but it will be back on next Wednesday, while Friday, June 28, is our monthly double members’ draw and raffles, as well as Sharon’s tea, with names to be on the board by Wednesday.

Also on Friday, June 28, starting at 5pm we will be having a special bowls meeting for all our Saturday pennant players.

This is to discuss a proposal put forward by the Murray Mallee Board, about combining some Division 1 teams from Murray Valley and some Division 1 teams from the Northern District to play in a joint competition for Saturday Division 1 only. So please come along and have your say.

SWAN HILL

This Friday will see Friday Frolic back on at the normal time, with names to be entered by 2.30pm and ready to start by 3pm.

It’s a good idea to arrive early and have a warm up, with all welcome regardless of your bowling ability, with Friday Frolic being a social game of 10 ends for all participants to enjoy and bowls available for anyone wanting to give it a try.

It’s time to try and crack the jackpot, which is now close to $200 and if it reaches the $200 mark and no one has the lucky number, there will be a running draw for $100.

Come into the warm club house after the game to socialise, with happy hour drinks, or a hot drink if you prefer, along with a hot snack and remember, if you miss out on the jackpot, you can always try your luck for one of Mick’s raffle prizes.

Please note that memberships for season 2024-25 are now payable at the bar.
