LAKE BOGA

SOCIAL bowls winners this week was the team skippered by Jean Leach and consisting of Nickie Davis, Peter Snell and Max Parsons, with the quartet the only team to finish with two wins, as well as a score of plus 11.

The runners-up, with a win and a draw, was the team skippered by Terry Haw and consisting of John Walker and Les Grey.

The pelican jackpot returns this week at $198 after failing to be claimed last week.

Although the matches started in sunshine last Saturday, we had to shorten the last game because of the rain and cold. The weather will hopefully be kinder this week.

NYAH DISTRICT

WHAT a great day we had for our club’s social bowls, Christmas in July event, with 30 players and the men defeating the ladies, although the ladies did give the men a good game.

The resting touchers went to Daniel Wynne, Alex Smith, Max Parsons and Noel Hender.

Social bowls is on again next Tuesday, please contact Kent Coburn on 0419 094 999 or L.Gordon on 0437 072 465.

Everyone is welcome, even those who have never played before.
