Bowls notes, September 6

Swan Hill

This Friday play is back to the first Friday of the month, which is the monthly Mini Tournament afternoon.

You have until 1pm to enter your team of triples or make a single entry to go into the draw.

Make sure you don’t miss the deadline and risk being left out.

Ring Bill King, 0428 324 083, or Graeme Clark, 0417 409 703 to lodge an entry.

Alternatively, ring the club on 5032 1772 or enter on the sheet at the clubhouse.

There is good prizemoney for first, second and third, entry fee $10 per player.

For any-combination triples, play starts at 2pm.

The jackpot sits at $180 and good entries will ensure that it will reach $200-plus, meaning that if it doesn’t go off, there will be a rolling draw for $100.

All who play bowls are in with a chance.

Happy-hour drinks, light snacks and Mick’s raffles guarantee a happy social time after the game, for all who attend. All are welcome.

Pennant play is only a few weeks away, so any-competition games are a good opportunity to gain some practice.

Bill King is taking entries for the any-combination triples, Swan Hill Bowls Club Bowling Arm Classic, to be held Sunday, September 29 from noon.

This is an honour-board event with excellent prizemoney. We would like to see as many armed bowlers, playing in this specialist event as possible.
