SWAN Hill Council is inviting businesses to have their say on the direction of the region’s economy.
Economic and community development manager Dennis Hovenden said the survey data, along with information received through industry workshops, would be used to guide the direction for a new regional Economic Development Strategy.
“Business and industry input will be critical if we are to develop a meaningful strategy for the Swan Hill municipality,” he said.
“In addition to the online survey, our economic development team will also be conducting business visits and hosting industry-specific workshops, facilitated by a business consultant.
“We understand businesses find it difficult to attend scheduled workshops and industry sessions, and as such, we will be engaging with businesses in the comfort and convenience of their own premises.”
Mr Hovenden said that the business survey includes investigating industry specific strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, as well as providing an opportunity to comment on the future direction of the region over the next five years, 10 years and beyond.
