KOONDROOK residents Bev and John Hull enjoy fitting in a quick trip to Swan Hill Wholesalers when they’re in town.
Set to celebrate 64 years of marriage in May, Mr Hull attributes the couple’s longevity to a number of things.
Mr Hull is a big believer of the saying: “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.”
My wife is the best cook in Koondrook,” he said.
“She spoils me to death.”
Mr Hull said his wife’s wine trifle, pavlova and pasties were among his favourite dishes.
He said Swan Hill Wholesalers enabled them to stock up on key ingredients each time they came to Swan Hill, noting it was the “variety of goods and the wholesale prices” which attracted them to the store.
“We have oil and chicken salt on our shopping list today.”
