Metro quality, country hospitality

Whether you’re popping in for one of ARC’s range of coffee options or grabbing a savoury or sweet bite to take away or eat in store, ARC always hits the spot.

Owners and husband and wife duo Jake and Kate Seears and their team of friendly employees will ensure your breakfast, lunch or brunch will be delicious.

Serving up everyone’s favourite breakfast foods, ARC put their own spin on their meals while ensuring they do the simple things right.

“We set out to build something that Swan Hill hadn’t ever seen before, but it’s also not like we’re trying to reinvent the wheel here,” owner Jake Seears said.

“We try to really push the limits and the boundaries of what has been done before, and not just do meals that everyone has seen already at other places.

“When people from Swan Hill travel to any city and come back, they want to have that city quality here in their hometown.

“While we don’t try to be or act like the city cafes, we always try to provide the same quality you’d find in cities.”

Located in a trendy space in Campbell Street, ARC’s contemporary decor and seating closely matches the modernity of their dishes.

From blowtorched poached eggs with chilli chorizo and a tomato and bean mix to lemon meringue porridge, ARC have something for everyone.

The young ones will be impressed as well, with a range of children’s options including fluffy pancakes topped with ice cream and berries to the classic ham and cheese toastie.

But one of the latest additions to the ARC menu has the tastebuds of Swan Hill residents going wild – the chilli croissant.

Mr Seears said the customer-favourite combination had returned to the menu to warm up local residents in the chilly months.

“We put a bit of research and development into this,” he said.

“We ran it as a special a couple of times and received a bunch of really good feedback on it.

“We thought this croissant was something a little bit different to anything else you’d be able to find around town.

“It hits all those things that people want – eggs, meat, a nice buttery croissant on top, while also having a nice spice kick to it as well when you dig into it.”

ARC’s coffee and food aren’t the only things that will warm your soul on a winter’s day, the inviting nature of the owners and staff will keep you coming back.

Jake, Kate and their staff will warmly welcome you to their cafe, and farewell you after a delicious meal and a hearty laugh with the owners.

“What really sets us apart is that we genuinely love what we do, and I think that really comes through,” Mr Seears said.

“It would be very easy to just make the sale and move onto the next order, but that’s not what we’re about.

“We want people to enjoy coming to our café and create a really nice community feeling where people want to come back and feel welcome.”
