Border restrictions for Vic and NSW

AS fears mount of tighter border restrictions owing to the spread of Covid-19, people living in border communities are still permitted to travel between Victoria and New South Wales without a permit as long as they have photo ID – such as a driver’s licence – and one or more items which can be used as proof of address.

They also must not have Covid or Covid symptoms, not be a close contact of a person with Covid, and not have been in a red or orange zone in the past 14 days.

Police officers will be patrolling six key border crossing zones, including Swan Hill, with their presence bolstered by the addition of the Victoria Police Airwing.
