THERE was a wonderful service last Sunday afternoon for the induction of Rev Mark Boyce as Deacon and the commission of Carol Boyce as Pastoral Minister in the Mallee Rivers regional team of the Uniting Church.
Their ministry will be in the congregations of Swan Hill, Moulamein, Kerang, Cohuna and Pyramid Hill Uniting Church.
Presiding over the service in Kerang was Judy Causon, chairperson of Presbytery and Rev Siotame Paletua, our Presbytery officer.
Mark and Carol moved here from South Australia with extensive experience as chaplains in the mental health and aged care spheres, and look forward to being able to assist in these areas within the communities represented by their congregations.
They look forward to working alongside the members of these different congregations and, indeed, ministers and members of other denominations too.
They plan to serve in this region for at least the next five years, and the congregations look forward to their leading of worship and community involvement.
