ORGANISERS are elated to have parkruns back in action on Saturday after the easing of social restrictions.
While parkruns in Lake Boga, Kerang and Cohuna are smashing the national leaderboard for the (not)parkrun lockdown challenge – there is nothing like the original.
Lake Boga Foreshore Parkrun starts on Saturday at 7.45am.
Cohuna Parkrun is back at Garden Park from 7.45am.
Kerang Regional Parkrun is on at 8am at Kerang Regional Park, at the western end of Wyndham Street.
“Get rid of those COVID lockdown cobwebs!” Kerang Regional rarkrun director Annette Kelly said.
“It would be great to see a heap of new people there.”
“We had the news at 5pm Thursday and within a few hours nearly all the volunteer spots were filled – people are just so happy to have it back.”
COVID-safe rules apply, including QR code check-in, social distancing and masks.
Regional parkruns will continue the (not)parkrun challenge for the rest of the week, so residents unable make it to parkrun should log a (not)parkrun time.
