Australia Day events

How the community is marking Australia Day

– Swan Hill will have a live-stream ceremony from 8am including the presentation of citizen of the year awards and an address from ambassador Diane James AM.

– Nyah District Lions Club will run an Australia Day breakfast event at Nyah West Park from 8am.

– Lake Boga Lions Club will run an Australia Day picnic at the Catalina Museum from 12pm. Families BYO picnic, free soft drinks and tea and coffee available. 1pm flag raising.

– Manangatang Improvement Group will host an Australia Day Breakfast.

– Robinvale and Euston will have joint celebrations with an awards ceremony, lunch, live performances from the Jam Club Band and family fun from 11.30am to 3pm at Euston Recreation Reserve.

There will be a bus pick up from Robinvale Post Office at 11.15am and a return bus at 2.15pm.

– Balranald will have an awards ceremony from 8am to 11am at Greenham Park including breakfast and speeches. There will also be live performances from Ron Murray and Kinja dancers.

In the afternoon, there will be a family fun activity held at the Balranald Swimming Pool with music, laser tag, jumping castles, swimming activities, games, food stalls plus plenty more on offer to entertain young and old.

– COVID Guidelines will apply at all events including mask wearing, check-in, hand sanitisation, and please do not attend if you are unwell or are symptomatic
