Services luring in applications for fishing classic

THE Swan Hill Service Clubs Annual Fishing Classic will be held on March 4, 5 and 6 at the Pental Island Caravan Park.

This is a joint venture between the Rotary Club of Swan Hill and the Swan Hill Lions Club that began in 2005.

This year’s classic will be the 17th held, with the 2021 event being cancelled because of COVID-19.

Entry fees remain at $150 per person which includes entry into the fishing competition, two breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners and a ticket in the major prize draw which will be drawn at 8.30pm on Saturday night.

Proceeds from the event, averaging $8000 for each service organisation, have been used for native fish restocking, and donations to local charities.

In addition, product purchases and prizes are purchased from local businesses. Entry forms are available from fishing retail stores, the Swan Hill Fishing Classic Facebook page or calling 0447 793 120.
