Grab a bargain to support Swan Hill District Health

A SWAN Hill clothing store is holding a massive warehouse sale Friday and Saturday, with 50 per cent of proceeds to be donated to Swan Hill District Health (SHDH).

Frankie and Co will be holding a pop-up store at 217 Campbell Street over the next two days, and is hoping to raise as much money as possible to assist SHDH to purchase much-needed equipment.

Frankie and Co Marketing Manager Phebe Baines was looking forward to the sale, and encouraging locals to pop by and pick up a bargain.

“Swan Hill is very close to our director Paige (Davies) because that’s where she grew up,” she said.

“The pop-up store will be a warehouse sale with prices starting at $5 and nothing over $59.

“What we are trying to do is generate profits to donate towards our beautiful Swan Hill District Health.

“This will allow them to buy some much-needed equipment that they need from their wish list.”

Ms Davies started Frankie and Co eight years ago as an online store located in her garage and has since grown to open up two stores, one in Swan Hill and the other in Bendigo.

The business caters for all different-sized women stocking sizes 6-22 and being home to a number of labels and brands.

Ms Davies still has a strong link to Swan Hill, with her mother Anne Timmins being the manager of the Swan Hill store.

The decision to donate a percentage of the proceeds to SHDH was a relatively easy one for the business.

“The hospital has been doing it quite tough over the past two years with COVID,” Ms Baines said.

“I just think it is great to give back to a place that gives so much to us.

“When we are sick we need the hospital and they do so much for everyone else.

“It is good to give back to them.”

With a heap of stock coming up from Bendigo, it is hoped that they are able to raise as much money as they can.

“We are just hoping for as much as possible and we can’t wait to donate those funds,” Ms Baines said.

“Paige is always trying to give back in as many ways as she possibly can.”

“Grab a bargain and help support the community.”

Each size will have its own individual rack in order to try and make it as easy as possible for customers to navigate their way through what is on offer.

The sale will run from 9am-5pm Friday and 9am-2pm Saturday.
