Coffee and chat with councillors

SWAN Hill Council is bringing back its Coffee with a Councillor initiative, beginning at Nyah West on Sunday.

Acting mayor Bill Moar said Coffee with a Councillor was an opportunity for the community to discuss ideas, issues or concerns relating to council services.

“We have received a lot of positive feedback about the initiative and we are looking forward to chatting more to local residents,” he said.

“We will be rolling out the sessions more often and in more places, to make sure everyone gets the chance to have a chat.”

The sessions will be advertised throughout the year via newspapers and social media, and also at local venues.

The first Coffee with a Councillor for the year is on August 28 from 2pm to 4pm at the Nyah West Community Park barbecue shelter.
