Ready, set … goat!

BALRANALD’S favourite pastime returns this weekend with Balranald’s footballers and netballers running back on to the park and court for the first time in 2023.

Tyntynder will be the opponent as the Roos travel to Alan Garden Reserve for the round 1 contest.

The A Grade netballers will take the court as reigning premiers for the first time in the club’s history as they look to defend their hard-won crown.

On the footy field, there is high anticipation for the Roos, with many experts tipping them to be the big jumpers of the season and one of the main challengers to reigning premier Kerang.

The famous Neagle name will be ever more present on the team sheet in 2023, with Matthew and Jaxon Neagle joining brother, coach and reigning Jack Betts medallist Jydon in the blue and white.

The club hopes to end a 14-year premiership drought.

It has been a big week for the Balranald Football Netball Club, which hosted the annual goat races at the weekend.
