THE kids playing soccer while the adults explored the stalls packed with local produce at the inaugural Tooleybuc Harvest Festival last Saturday.
Mensforth Park, by the river, was alive with activity as locals turned out in force to enjoy an afternoon packed with activities for the children, stalls and live music.
It was a great opportunity for people to catch up and strengthen and renew community ties after several hard years.
Although it wasn’t just locals coming together with stall holders and visitors coming from far and near.
Jaz.Sol came all the way from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland to entertain the crowds with her voice and guitar.
One of the event’s organisers, Gretchen Martins, said the idea came about as a way of showing off what Tooleybuc has to offer.
“We have some really great small businesses here in the area and we are surrounded by this great environment,” Ms Martins said.
“It’s a way to bring the community together.”
