Trees raise Christmas spirit

BETHANY Dodgshun has fond memories of a live Christmas tree in her childhood and believes everyone should have the chance to experience it.

Ms Dodgshun has been organising for live trees to be available to Swan Hill residents for seven years, with all profits being donated to The Salvation Army’s Christmas appeal.

Trees are ordered from Daylesford and will be delivered to Swan Hill Christian School, where they can be collected.

This year trees are available in three sizes, five feet, six feet and seven feet, with pricing starting at $80.

Ms Dodgshun said the annual fundraiser had been a great success in previous years, raising thousands of dollars to assist families to have a magical Christmas.

“We feel this fundraiser is a win-win because there is nothing more special than a live tree at Christmas,” she said.

“Knowing the profits raised will go to help another family have a magical Christmas is what makes it so special.”

Trees can be ordered and paid for online by visiting www.swanhillchristmastrees.com.au by November 29.

Trees will be available for collection from December 1.
