SATURDAY

8.30am-12.30pm: Murrabit Market with live entertainment and children’s activities. More than 70 stalls selling fresh produce, local handcraft, plants, tools, shoes and much more. No dogs allowed.

9pm: Live music at Federal Hotel Murray Downs featuring That Guy.


SUNDAY

9am-1pm: Swan Hill Market managed by We Believe in Unicorns. Explore a variety of stalls offering unique crafts, gifts and hot food. Enjoy a bacon and egg roll, burger or sausage in bread cooked by local community groups.

2pm-4pm: The Little Mermaid by Victorian Ballet at Swan Hill Town Hall. Theatre style seating. Adults $62, con/sen/pen $60, child under 16 $35. TUESDAY

9.30am for 10am: Social bowls at Nyah. Names in by 9.30am for 10am start. Cost is $10 per person and includes a light lunch.

9.30am-11am: Lake Boga Uniting Church craft morning, bring your own craft and come and share a cuppa.10am-11am: School holiday activity at Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery. Creative budgies: Encourage your child’s artistic talents with the creative budgies workshop. Young artists will learn how to paint beautiful budgies in watercolour, exploring techniques like blending and shading. This workshop is great for kids aged 6-12. All materials are included. Bookings essential through artgal@swanhill.vic.gov.au


WEDNESDAY

8.30am: Mildura Health Fund golf day at Murray Golf & Country Club. Two-person Ambrose. 8.30am assembly, shotgun start. Cost is $20 per person. Book through the proshop.

9am-3pm: School holiday program. NAB AFL Auskick and Superkick at Swan Hill Recreation Reserve. Offers a dynamic blend of footy skills, engaging activities, and exciting challenges for aged 4-8. Cost is $50. For more details, email madeline.pieper@afl.com.au

10am-noon: Community fun day at Racecourse Bowls Club, Swan Hill. Free barbecue, fun games with children on the green, face painting, chalk drawing, playdough station, colouring, music time, biscuit decorating, prizes to win.

ALL MONTH

Until August 30 (Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm, Saturday-Sunday, 10am-4pm): Discover some of the extraordinary ways paper is used by visual artists in the permanent collection. See how texture, weight, flexibility and other qualities influence and inspire artistic responses. Get busy making, shaping, folding and painting in the studio gallery. There is something for all to do. On Country celebrates NAIDOC Week with works from the permanent collection. From the intricacies of traditional weaving to ceramics, etchings paintings and print-making, On Country is a fascinating collection of finest First Nations artists’ works from the region and beyond.

Until Sunday: River Lights at Pioneer Settlement. The new experience can be enjoyed at your own pace taking about 45 to 75 minutes. Food trucks and face-painting will be on site. Tickets can be purchased through riverlights.com.au. Adults $12.50, children 4-16 years $7.50, family (two adults, two children) $29, children under 4 free. With companion card, free of charge. Arrive up to 10 minutes before your session to ease waiting times.
