Show office opens soon

COMPETITION entries are now open across the categories for the 127th Swan Hill District Show.

The McCallum Street office will open to the public from September 2, between 9.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

Event administrator Mel O’Laughlin told The Guardian she and other committee members were always there to help anyone with questions.

“If anyone wants to discuss which competition is best for them to enter, how to enter or anything else, we’ll be here,” Ms O’Laughlin said.

“We would also love to have some people with a little bit of spare time to volunteer or join the committee.”

This year’s schedule is now available through the website, with details of an action-packed entertainment lineup for the whole family to enjoy.

Nationally known Walter Whip and the Flames will headline the show, with his flaming performance as seen on Australia’s Got Talent.

For the first time, six different breeds of dairy goats will have a competition category, featuring Saanen, Toggenburg, British Alpine, Anglo Nubian, Australian Melaan, Australian Brown, La Mancha and Alpine, as well as the Nigerian Dwarf.

Comedy racing ducks will also make an appearance throughout the show as provided by Gilmore Family Entertainment.

Tickets will go on sale on September 2.
