FRIDAY

2pm: Author Talk with Jenny Date – What Happened To The Girl From The Mallee.

7.30pm: The Best of Everything – 30 years of Chocolate Starfish 2024. Theatre-style seating at Swan Hill Town Hall. Tickets available at $84.70, swanhilltownhall.com or at Swan Hill Town Hall booking office 10am-4pm or Swan Hill Region Information Centre 9am-5pm.

5pm: Robinvale Lantern Festival, Perrin Street, from 5pm. Plenty of colourful lights, cultural food and entertainment. Children are encouraged to wear their scariest costumes. All welcome to this family-friendly event.

SATURDAY

All day: Central Murray Football Netball League preliminary final, Nyah West United v Mallee Eagles, at Nyah Recreation Reserve.

2pm and 3pm: Swan Hill Rugby Club hosts its first home game, Swan Hill v Brimbank Bucks RUFC at Gurnett Oval. Juniors to kick off at 2pm, followed by seniors at 3pm. This is a chance to thank the Swan Hill community for all the love and support shown to the new club this year. Barbecue and music and a great day to celebrate rugby coming to Swan Hill.

8.30am-12.30pm: Robinvale Country Market. Various market stalls, fresh produce, plants and entertainment. All welcome

9am-noon: Nyah Lions Club Market with various market stalls, Lions’ famous hot doughnuts, wood raffle, plants, produce, honey, bric-a-brac and more.

1pm: Two-day test-and-tune event at Swan Hill Sporting Car Club, running until Sunday 10am. Spectators welcome. Admission is free and there is catering for lunch and soft drink available on the day.

2pm: The Lloyd Webber Evolution, starring Ian Stenlake and Michelle Fitzmaurice, at Swan Hill Town Hall. Devonshire tea at 12.30. Reserved theatre-style seating. Show tickets at $35 available at swanhilltownhall.com or at Swan Hill Town Hall booking office Friday 10am-4pm or Swan Hill Region Information Centre 9am-5pm Friday or 10am-2pm Saturday.

SUNDAY

9.30am: Spark Event, Riverside Park Walk from the rotunda to the wetlands and back in honour of those who have tragically lost their lives to suicide. No pressure to walk the complete distance. Bring dogs to walk as well.

9am-11am: Food and Fibre Market at Mensforth Park, Tooleybuc, showcasing local produce and products. Organisers want stallholders who have a passion, project, grow produce or make a product to get involved. Fabulous playground for the kids, amazing local produce and products. Everything from organic beetroot flowers and bulbs to honey.

11am: Lake Boga Show and Shine park-and-brag event in the main street of Lake Boga. Park up from 11am for a casual gathering of like-minded people who want to show off their toys. Cars, bikes, trucks, tractors – anything with an engine is welcome.

12.30pm: Murray Downs Bowls Club Opening Day Tournament, two-bowl any-combination triples with three games of 10 ends, afternoon tea after the second game. Teams or single entries at $30 per person.

WEDNESDAY

Time to be confirmed: Swan Hill Old Time Dancing at Murray Downs after the draw.
