Tyntyndyer volunteers riding high

TYNTYNDYER Homestead has been gifted funds to purchase a ride-on mower to assist with preparations for open days.

Through the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal’s Strengthening Rural Communities Program, the William Buckland Foundation has enabled this purchase to help volunteers maintain the historic gardens.

Each year volunteers contribute hundreds of hours to maintaining the grounds, and following a successful open garden day in May, they are planning another on Sunday October 13, between 10am and 2pm.

With the first stage of restoration work almost complete, it is envisaged that some of the rooms will be opened to the public as well.
