Lots of festive fun

FRIDAY

5.30pm to 8.30pm: Community Christmas at Riverside Park. Join MDAS and the Salvation Army for an evening full of festive fun. Entertainment by DJ Tom Mitchell, with camel rides, jumping castle, rock climbing wall, face painting and a surprise visit from Santa. Riverside Park, Swan Hill.

7pm: Christmas Carols at the Meatian Church. All welcome. Meatian East Road, Meatian.

Evening: Live music at the Swan Hill Club featuring Known Official.

SATURDAY

7.50am: Lake Boga Foreshore Parkrun, free event, every Saturday. Arrive at 7.50am for an 8am start. Open to all ages and abilities, 5kms run, jog or walk.

9am to12pm: Anglican Boot Sale & Cottage Craft, 3rd Saturday of the month at the Anglican Function Centre. A large variety of stalls including books, household items, craft, fruit, honey, plants and vegetables. BBQ and scones.

SUNDAY

7.30pm: Christmas Carols at the Manangatang Public Hall. Please bring a plate of supper to share. All welcome.

CHRISTMAS EVE

1pm to 6pm: Christmas Eve Pool Party at the Swan Hill Outdoor Pool. Free waterslide and BBQ. With inflatable and a special guest. Monash Drive, Swan Hill.

DECEMBER 27

Evening: Live music at the Swan Hill Club featuring Elise Drake Band.

DECEMBER 28

3pm: Swan Hill Motor Racing Club – Sonic Speedway. AMCA Nationals, VSC Standard Saloons ‘Glare Memorial’, VSC Sport Sedans, VSC Formula 500s, Lightning Sprints. Racing starts from 6.30pm. Tickets available at gate, Adult $25, Children (10-16) $16, Children under 10 are free, Aged Pensioner $20, Family (2 adults, 2 children) $60. Please bring cash in case eftpos is unavailable.

DECEMBER 29

9pm: Live music at the Swan Hill Club featuring Mason Boys Live.

9.15pm: Fireworks at Lake Boga, free event.

Evening: Live music at Murray Downs Golf & Country Club featuring The Martini Set.

NEW YEAR’S DAY

10am to 1pm: SES Swan Hill Unit 2025 Duck Race at Riverside Park. Come along and support the annual Swan Hill SES Duck Race fundraiser. Plenty of prizes to be won. The top prize is $1000. Tickets still available, $5 each. For details visit SES Swan Hill Unit Facebook page. Monash Drive, Swan Hill.

JANUARY 2

10am to 5.30pm: Swan Hill Regional Library – School Holidays program. Creation Station suitable for children of all ages, Search & Find ages 5+. Please note children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 53-67 Campbell Street, Swan Hill.

JANUARY 5

10am to 12pm: Library Outreach Holiday Program – Lake Boga foreshore. All children to be actively supervised by an adult. Bring hats, sunscreen and water bottles.

10.30am to 11.30am: January School Holiday Activities – Air Dry Clay Sculpture birds. Visit our exhibition of ceramics and sculptures by local TAFE students and join us for some fun clay play, shaping and carving your very own cute, small bird sculpture to take home. All workshops are delivered at the Swan Hill Library by local artist Robyn Patterson, for primary school aged children. $5 bookings essential. JANUARY 8

1pm to 3pm: Splash-Tastic Zoo Pool Party – Nyah District Pool Library Outreach Holiday Program. Dive into the wild and dress as your favourite zoo animal for the Safari Parade. Free entry for this event. All children to be actively supervised by an adult. Bring hats, sunscreen and water bottles. Follow the pool rules. Have lots of fun. Nyah District Pool, Nyah West Road, Nyah.

10.30am to 11.30am: January School Holiday Activities – Cute Collage Echidna. Create one of our favourite Australian animals using collage. Make your own colourful, spiky artwork, by drawing, cutting and pasting.
