CHILDREN at the Balranald Shire Library welcomed the Year of the Snake with a vibrant celebration filled with cultural activities, traditional treats, and plenty of fun.
The event, held on January 28, gave students the opportunity to learn how to use chopsticks, make spring rolls, dumplings, and even try their hand at crafting fortune cookies.
Tables were filled with ingredients, bamboo steamers and eager young faces as the kids explored new skills and had some fun.
Photos from the event show the kids participating – some carefully mastering chopstick techniques, while others focused on preparing dumplings.
Traditional treats like fortune cookies and snack trays added to the festive atmosphere, welcoming in the Chinese New Year.
