Aquatic Centre open day

THE Swan Hill Aquatic and Recreation Centre is opening its doors to the community on Saturday 11am-3pm for a day of pool fun, activities and classes.

The $5 entry fee will be donated to the Mallee MRI Appeal, and includes access to the pool inflatable, fitness classes, the courts for pickleball demos and casual play, as well as face painting.

The trial classes include Mega Class, Reformer Pilates and Connect30.

Organiser Karla Barnes said it was a great opportunity to contribute to the cause.

“Giving people the facilities to keep active and stay healthy fits with our ethos and it’s something we take a lot of pride in, so we were keen to be able to make that contribution,” she said.

“Having access to this equipment locally will have a positive impact on so many people and we are thrilled to be able to play a small part in that.

“Along with getting the pool inflatable in the water, we’re planning some pickle ball, group fitness mega classes and a reformer pilates come-and-try, to show the community what we have on offer.”

A sausage sizzle and pop-up food and drink stalls will also be available,

Bookings are essential for the trial classes and can be made at 5032 5222.
