SWAN HILL DISTRICT CRICKET ASSOCIATION ROUND 11 MATCH REPORTSSWAN HILL 10-109 lost to ST MARY’S-TYNTYNDER 4-113

St Mary’s-Tyntynder strengthened their premiership aspirations with a six-wicket win over the bottom of the ladder Swan Hill on Saturday.

Callan Noonan scored an impressive 41 for Swan Hill, and was supported by Alan Hatcher (21) and Brady Hogan (23) to steer the side to a total of 109.

Dom Violi was on fire with the ball for the Saints, as he took 6-13 off his 11 overs which included three maidens.

After taking the crucial wickets of Cal Noonan and Alan Hatcher he ripped through the tail to give his side an easy target to chase down.

Chasing 110, St Mary’s-Tyntynder had a horrible start to their innings after opener Jared Halligan was bowled first ball by Noonan.

Noonan then struck again to get the wicket of Jake Foster and St Mary’s Tyntynder were 2-2 and looking in a bit of strife.

From there it was smooth sailing as Austin McKerrow (33) and Jack Shannahan (56) rallied for a 94-run partnership.

They ended up reaching their total of 113 losing only four wickets in 24 overs.RSL 8-90 def WANDELLA 10-89

Patrick Caldwell ripped through Wandella’s middle order to finish with figures of 4-31 off his 13 overs which included an incredible seven maidens.

But after starring with the ball, Caldwell then guided the side to an impressive win after scoring 29 runs and remaining unbeaten alongside Stuart McGregor (4 not out).

Logan Keighran was damaging with the ball for Wandella, taking 4-24 off his 11 overs however it wasn’t enough to get his team over the line.

Rohan Oliver was economical taking 1-12 off his 15 overs, however defending under 90 was always going to be a tough task for Wandella.ULTIMA-TUF 6-121 def WOORINEN 10-117

In the battle between the fourth and fifth placed sides Ultima-TUF claimed an impressive four wicket win over Woorinen.

Batting first Woorinen opener Marcus Mangiameli (54) was the highest scorer for his team, however he had a lack of support from the rest of the batting lineup.

Jordan King 3-15 and Josh Waldron 3-10 were dominant for Ultima-TUF as the team had six different wicket takers in a bowling attack that doesn’t lack depth.

Chasing 118 for victory, Ultima-TUF never looked in strife as they guided their way to a comfortable four wicket victory.

Waldron (32) and Mitchell Seton-Stewart (32 not out) top scored for Ultima-TUF, however they were well supported by the rest of their batting lineup.
