Kerang vs RSL

KERANG sent themselves in to bat against RSL and started well, losing their first wicket at 1/22.

With a steady innings for the whole 40 overs, it would be Adam Ridley who stood out, making 64 off 72 balls.

He had help from Jon Roberts, 29 not out off 31, and Josh “Red Dog” Powell, 26 off 30.

Kerang posted a very handy 8/195.

When RSL went into bat they started well, but it would be Josh Powell who would go bang-bang, getting on a hat-trick, but he couldn’t finish it off.

RSL finished the game in 30 overs, chasing the total down at 3/196.


Barham Koondrook vs Nyah District

BARHAM Koondrook got off to a solid start after electing to bat, Ravi Sasikumar and Aiden Thompson putting on 47 for the opening partnership before Thompson was out for 24.

They then crashed, losing the remaining nine wickets for 54 to be all out for 101 in the 38th over.

Sasikumar played a great innings to finish with 56 not out.

Best of Nyah District bowlers were Ben Sheridan 3/10, Oliver Bolton 2/18 and Issy Boulton 2/10.

Nyah District opening batters Michael Bolton and Ash Thompson never looked in trouble, passing the target with no wickets down in the 18th over.

Bolton finished 55 not out and Thompson 46 not out.


Murrabit vs Wandella

EACH of Murrabit’s top five scored more than 24 runs against Wandella, but the standout was AFL premiership player Rick Ladson, who tallied up 66 runs off 43 balls.

Murrabit finished with 6/219, while Wandella’s best bowler was Rhys Behrens, who picked up two wickets but went for 42 runs.

Wandella started their run chase very shaky, but Behrens would steady it up with 45 off 44 with help from Troy Banfield, 32 off 47.

Running out of batsmen, Wandella fell short, all out for 139, as Brad Hein picked up up 4/20 off eight overs.
