BELLISSIMO is the only word to describe the events and costumes of Italian Day at St Mary’s Primary School Swan Hill.
Children of all year levels embraced the theme by dressing up as their favourite Italian characters and food items.
Many children opted to dress as slices of pizza, while others went as racing car drivers, soccer players, Mario and Luigi – and there was even a jar of Nutella.
Serving nothing but the best Italian espresso, senior students Milla Pearson and Harper Free looked the part as professional baristas.
“Our much anticipated Italian Day event was an opportunity to celebrate the Italian language and culture as taught at St Mary’s,” Administration Assistant, Ebony Free, said last Wednesday.
“Students came dressed in Italian colours or costume, participated in Italian themed activities and were lucky enough to have Italian food on offer, including pizza, lasagne, gelato and cannoli.”
