WOORINEN children have the wild world at their feet with Shine Bright at Woorinen South kindergarten.
The kindergarten’s play-based program out in the bush has thrived, even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Little people were still able to continue the bush kinder in the nearby nature reserve.
Parent Ash Hayward said the bush kinder is beneficial in a number of ways.
“Firstly, it allows the children to be more resourceful and imaginative in their play,” Ms Hayward said.
“They also learn to care for the environment and learn about sustainability by getting out in the great outdoors.
“The bush offers children the opportunity to develop confidence and to take risks, learning to keep themselves and others safe and become resilient in the process.
“They also have the chance for many conversations and social interactions with their peers.”
Shine Bright currently has vacancies for both three and four year olds, a whole new cohort to benefit from a recently installed bike track and larger outdoor play area, and of course more adventures in the bush.
