OUR ATAR STARS: Students achieve incredible results

STUDY scores were released alongside ATAR scores last week, and many students in the region performed exceptionally.

Three students received perfect scores of 50 placing them at the top of the state – Isabella Gilchrist, Georgia Craig-Neal, and Kate Alday.

St Mary MacKillop year 11 student Isabella Gilchrist completed two year 12 subjects this year receiving a score of 50 for VCE VET sport and recreation, and a 44 for biology.

Her fellow student at St Mary MacKillop, Georgia Craig-Neal also received a perfect score of 50 for sport and recreation, while Tyrrell College student Kate Alday received a perfect 50 for health and human development.

Any score on or above 40 signifies that the student has performed within the top nine per cent or higher in the state, with plenty of local students making the cut.

Of particular note was the performance of St Mary MacKillop College’s Sport and Recreation class, which received four scores over 40, and Boort District P-12 School’s PE class, with four students making the 40+ list.
