Nyah District Primary get updated sports facilities

NYAH District Primary School now have an upgraded sports oval, with $40,120 provided by the Victorian Government to complete the project.

The project involved levelling out and applying a top dress to the oval and grassed areas, with 50mm thick Mallee sand and seeding – providing a safer and resilient surface for students.

“We’re making sure that our schools have the best facilities, our classrooms have the best teachers and that every child is given every chance to succeed,” Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp said.

“The oval upgrades will ensure students at Nyah District Primary School have better outdoor grass areas to learn and play.”

The Victorian Budget 2021/22 has invested $20 million in the Minor Capital Works Fund to improve learning spaces as well as the condition and character of schools.

More than 300 Victorian government schools have been allocated funding to fast-track priority projects under the Minor Capital Works Fund.
