Big day out for small-school kids

STUDENTS from the district’s small school came together for a day of fun activities at Nyah District Primary School last Thursday.

The students, from Prep and Year 1 and 2 classes, had the opportunity to participate in a variety of events and make new friends.

Nyah District Primary School, Beverford Primary School, Woorinen District Primary School, Lake Boga Primary School, Son Centre Christian School and Manangatang P-12 College joined in the festivities.

Local community organisations assisted on the day, including Senior Constable Andrew Downes, from Swan Hill police; Nicolette and Andrew, from Lower Murray Water; Bronte, Kerrie and Andrea dieticians, from Swan Hill District Health; Riley, David, Felicity and Liam, from AFL Victoria; and Swan Hill College VET Sport and Recreation students.

The children participated in large outdoor games and mini golf, soccer and NETTA

A barbecue sausage sizzle lunch was enjoyed by everyone.
