LAST Saturday Lakeside Golf Club partnered with Lake Boga Primary School to present a par-three day, which served as a fundraising event for the school’s Grade 6 camp to Tasmania. Forty-seven golfers took part, with kids, parents, non-golfers and golfers playing the par-three course.
There were prizes for nearest the pin on every hole, with a special prize on offer for a hole in one.
Golf Australia representatives attended the day, with organised games for younger children.
Students continue to receive weekly golf lessons in their PE classes and look forward an ongoing partnership with the Lakeside Golf Club to increase the number of young people in Lake Boga playing golf.
