New facilities boost learning

AS the 2022 school year draws to a close, we can reflect on the amazing achievements of our students and school community.

Our six Year 12 students are this week planning their futures after receiving their ATAR results upon the successful completion of the VCE program.

Manangatang P-12 College offered a full complement of VCE subjects, enabling our students’ access to the subjects of their choice in a small, personalised setting. Our Grade 6 students are preparing for the leap into secondary education and our local preschool children are now excitedly waiting to go to “big school”.

Our extensive transition program allows for the smooth transition across all year levels.

This year, our SRC was extremely active with a focus on inclusiveness.

There were many whole-school activities which further developed the positive relationships between our students.

It was also pleasing to have parents and families back into the school after a number of years of restrictions.

We had many excellent sporting achievements with three students making it to state

finals. Other highlights were the return of camps and excursions, including the opportunity for our secondary students to complete the Outward Bound Camp.

Our primary students continue to excel with the college among the most improved schools for NAPLAN results.

This year, the college received grant funding for a new inclusive playground, an outdoor kitchen, STEM classroom equipment and a $100,000 grant for an innovative agriculture program.

Heading into 2023, the curriculum and learning spaces will be enriched by the resources provided by this funding.

Manangatang P-12 College would like to congratulate our graduating Year 12 and Grade 6 students.

For our Year 12 graduates, we thank them for the contribution they have made to our college over the years and know that the strong foundations they received at Manangatang P-12 College will provide them with the skills to create their own amazing pathway.
