Students make best start

TOOLEYBUC Central School’s foundation students have settled in and are enjoying learning.

Principal Melanie Wait said they have had a wonderful start to the year with the support of the whole school.

“They’re doing really well with their new learning routines and have already done their Best Start assessment and are working hard on improving their skills in literacy and numeracy,” she said.

“The big kids are really caring and look after them, and they all fit into our school community.”

The eight students are the largest foundations cohort Tooleybuc Central School has had.

Ms Wait said the school has also acquired a new ping pong table and furniture.
