Noon-10pm: Summerwave Music Festival in Kerang featuring Reece Mastin, One More Weekend, Blck Vibe, Seven Car Pileup, Ivy Black, Elias Lanyon, Grace Frost, Tom Harrington, Amy Tie, Daniel Aaron and The Known Dillmac. Fully supervised and is an alcohol, drug and smoke free event with strictly no pass outs. Youth aged 12-25: $15, adults over 25: $25.

6pm: Swan Hill Motor Racing Club Sonic Speedway, Super Sedan Victorian Title, VSC Formula 500, Standard Saloons, VSC Juniors, VSC Sport Sedans, VSC Open Ladies.

1pm: Woorinen Cricket Club Pink Stumps Day, 1pm start at Rec. Tickets: available at the gate $35, of which $5 goes to the McGrath Foundation. Guest speaker: Megan Coburn, author of the book Be Brave, Be Bold, Be You. Live music guests: Guy Romeo and Sophie Kelly, plenty of entertainment including Woorinen & RSL A Grade cricket. Raffles, auctions, lucky door prize, loads of fun games and activities to be played. Free glass of wine on entry.


SUNDAY

8.30am-12.30pm: Swan Hill Farmers Market is on the first Sunday of every month. Fresh produce, local entertainment, food and refreshments. Come along and support your local farmers at Riverside Park.

4pm: Mallee Tabletop Games meet on the first and third Sunday of each month at the Swan Hill Club.


FEBRUARY 7

6.30pm-8pm: Swan Hill Town Hall season launch with music, food and drinks, upcoming shows and events, launch of the new website, early bird tickets. For your free entry ticket online: swanhilltownhall.com, in-person: Swan Hill Town Hall booking office or Swan Hill Region Information Centre.

Evening: Swan Hill Harness Racing. Great evening of family entertainment to be had at the Swan Hill trots. Plenty of on-course facilities available.

8pm: Swan Hill Old Time Dancing is on the second Wednesday of the month at Murray Downs after the draw. Music by Ian Stewart.

6pm-8pm: Barefoot bowls at Tooleybuc Sporting Club. Names in by 5.45pm on the night or message Danielle 0403 548 149. Open to all ages and abilities, finger food provided. Please wear flat shoes/thongs or bare feet. No experience necessary.

Barefoot Bowls Tuesday nights at the Murray Downs Golf & Country Club. Starts February 7 at 7pm. Organise your own team of three players. $5 per person. Make new friends and have a great time, barbecue and prizes on the last night, music and fun. Event runs for nine weeks until April 11. Social activity for sporting clubs, businesses, family and friends. Great fun for all ages. Bowls supplied or bring your own. Barefoot or runners. Kids and beginners welcome. Tuesday-Friday (10am-5pm), Saturday and Sunday (10am-4pm): Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery. Five years in the making and an odyssey in its creation, Tales from The Greek is Marco Luccio’s artistic response to author John Hughes’ eight narrative adaptations of Greek myths and tragedies. Featuring large canvasses, found objects, drypoints, etchings, charcoal drawings, collagraphs, ink, mixed media, pencil and monotypes.

Tuesday-Friday (10am-5pm), Saturday and Sunday (10am-4pm): Our Mallee, Our Home: Local artist Paula Starrs observes the Mallee with a refreshing openness and an immediacy akin to an impressionistic style. Using broad gestural brush strokes, her painting is testament to her understanding and knowledge of the country she lives and works in, capturing those hidden gems, quiet local shops, back roads, railway stations and more.
