Dancing in the moonlight

IT WAS a night of glamour and entertainment last Saturday when eight debutantes and their partners took to centre stage at the town hall.

Lake Boga Football and Netball Club held their annual debutante ball and introduced the young adults to society.

Dancing in the Moonlight was the theme this year and the night kicked off with a live piano solo performed by Chiaki Green.

The debutantes were presented to club officials and then impressed family and friends with a combination of modern and traditional dancing.

Dance teacher and choreographer Natasha Gerakis said the students had worked hard in practices in the lead-up to the big night.

The debutantes looked beautiful in an array of different styles of white dress, ranging from classical to contemporary.

The boys were dashing in black three-piece suits while allowing for a little fun by adorning watermelon socks.

The traditional parent dance went without a hitch and without any broken toes.

The only sore feet were those of the debutantes in the morning, after a night of dancing and socialising until the early hours of Sunday.
