Piano men rock the house in Swan Hill

SATURDAY night the popular tunes and ballads of two of the world’s best known piano men and songwriters echoed through the Swan Hill Town Hall as Greg Andrew and Anthony Mara performed hits and classics of Elton John and Billy Joel.

Both performers are considered to be two of Australia’s premier tribute artists and joined forces in 2019 to recreate the well-known Face to Face tour, which Elton John and Billy Joel brought to Australia in 1998.

The Swan Hill show was the last show of an 11-week national tour for the pair, and the group of musicians that brought the music to life.

Mara said it was great to end the whole east coast tour in Swan Hill.

Andrew said they were really pleased with the response from the crowd.

“We really enjoyed and we were talking during the interval that it was fantastic with a good response from the crowd.

“It’s all about the music, most people love the music of Elton and Billy.”
