7.30pm: After the success of Keep the Circle Unbroken, Delsinki returns to Swan Hill with his new show, Straight to the Pool Room. The best of acoustic 80s will be performed among iconic imagery of the Australian Football League in the exhibition Home Ground and Beyond the Boundary, a night for nostalgia and great tunes. All day: Central Murray Football Netball League qualifying finals at Lalbert Recreation Reserve. Kick-off at 12.25pm for reserves football: Woorinen v NNW United. Senior football at 2.30pm: Balranald v Woorinen.

8.30am-12.30pm: Murrabit Market features 80 stalls sell fresh fruit and vegetables, hand crafts, plants, tools, clothes, shoes and hardware. Dogs are not allowed, guide dogs excepted.


SUNDAY

12.30pm: Murray Downs Bowls Club Open Tournament. Three-bowl triples any combination, three games of 10 ends. Afternoon tea after 2nd game. Entry is $30 per team. Team or single entries.

3pm: Unplugged at the Bar: Nick Barker at Mully’s Place. A prolific live touring performer, Barker is known for his charismatic stage presence, and masterful song writing. Nick will bring it all to the stage in the intimate surrounds of Mully’s Bar. Tickets cost $15 each. 9.30am for 10am: Social bowls at Nyah. Names in by 9.30am. Entry is $10 per person, includes lunch.

10.30am-1pm: Visitor and Community Comfort Centre open day. Tea, coffee and refreshments. Check out the facilities and meet the volunteers. Become a volunteer.

7.15pm: Bingo at Tooleybuc Sporting Club.


THURSDAY

11.30am: Bingo at Tooleybuc Sporting Club.


ALL WEEKEND

From 7am: Victorian Utility Dog Championships. Manangatang will host this year’s three-day event, with 18 competitors bringing four or five dogs each to compete in the trails at the Manangatang Recreation Reserve. The event will use more than 520 sheep over the three days. Powered camping sites available, shower and toilet facilities on site.

Time TBC: Swan Hill host Bendigo league soccer finals at Ken Harrison Recreation Reserve.


ALL MONTH

August 5-October 1: Tuesday-Friday, 10am-5pm, Saturday-Sunday, 10am-4pm: Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery footy exhibitions. Discover the perfect blend of art and Australian rules football at Home Ground and Beyond the Boundary exhibitions. A unique experience that celebrates a football culture and creativity through photography, ceramics, paintings and prints.

August 1-October 1, 7pm-11pm: The Gem: The Final Journey exhibition is a celebration of the 60th anniversary of PS Gem’s arrival in Swan Hill. Discover the challenges faced by the crew and learn about their experiences. Projected on the side of the PS Gem is a 13-minute audio-visual presentation documenting this last journey. Free to watch from Monash Drive (just outside the Pioneer Settlement).
