Country full of highlights

SIX-time Golden Guitar winner Amber Lawrence and local favourite Paul Costa will join forces to perform at Swan Hill Town Hall next weekend.

Lawrence is the reigning Golden Guitar awards Female Artist of the Year and is one of the most celebrated and hardest working Australian country artists.

She has released six studio albums and three children’s albums.

Lawrence has performed on the biggest stages, including Carols in the Domain, Australia Day Live at the Opera House, Play School and has sung for prime ministers and presidents.

She is a on a year-long tour to celebrate her new album, Living for the Highlights, an album of strength, power, honesty and raw songwriting.

Robinvale’s Costa, with a mantle full of awards and many chart hits to his credit, has no desire to slow down.

Last year he released his hit single Drinkin’ Hours, the ultimate upbeat feel good song made for Costa’s rich vocal range and masterful delivery.

At the 2018 Tamworth Country Music Festival, Costa was inducted into the Country Music Hands of Fame, highlighting his successful music career.

His album, Whisper In The Crowd, was also named Album of the Year at the People’s Choice Awards.

He was a finalist for Male Artist of the Year at the CMC Music Awards.

Costa has performed at major events both locally and internationally and has had the honour of performing for Australian troops in East Timor in 2008 and The Middle East (Iraq) in 2019.

The two-hour Swan Hill show begins at 3pm next Sunday, September 17.
