Ballet dancers wanted

ASPIRING ballet dancers aged between 10 and 17 are being asked to grab their pointe shoes.

Swan Hill Town Hall and the Victorian State Ballet are offering an incredible opportunity to be a part of the upcoming performance of The Nutcracker on December 16 at the venue.

On Wednesday, December 6, workshops and auditions will be held with VSB managing director Michelle Sierra and two of the principal performers, starting at 4pm.

They are looking for 20 aspiring dancers with basic ballet training from the pool of talented young people in Swan Hill and surrounds.

Applications close on November 23 at 5pm or whenever all the allocated spots have been filled, as places are limited.

A delightful and powerful classic ballet, The Nutcracker has enchanted audiences of children and adults alike for many years as a traditional Christmas performance.

It is the story of Clara at her Christmas party, as she ventures into her Nutcracker prince’s magical land.

Contact the Swan Hill Town Hall for more information on how to apply.
