CHRISTMAS is on its way and the entertainment is ramping up in Swan Hill.

Spectacular Irish dancing is on the program when A Celtic Christmas by A Taste of Ireland goes on stage at Swan Hill Town Hall on Sunday, November 19.

The show was originally scheduled to tour in 2020, but the pandemic halted those plans.

The show captivated audiences in Australia, New Zealand and the UK last year.

Now the all-singing, all-dancing, family-friendly treat will tour Victoria and the United States.

The 15 performers will tell the story of two star-crossed lovers as they twirl beneath the mistletoe. Award-winning Irish musicians complement the world’s best Irish dancers in an exciting mix of traditional tunes, heartfelt ballads, carols and red-hot rhythms in an unforgettable night of Irish charm and spectacular entertainment.

It is choreographed and produced by multiple national dance champion and star of Gaelforce Dance and The Rhythms of Ireland Brent Pace and world champion and Lord of the Dance lead soloist Ceili Moore.

The cast is made up artists from all over the world, drawing from such shows as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.

A Taste of Ireland has performed in Swan Hill a number of times.

Moore said Irish dancing was a unique art form and was considered a sport by many.

“You have to be as pretty as a ballerina but as fit as a footballer to perform,” Moore said.

“The show incorporates traditional Christmas music along with traditional Irish music celebrating Christmas in Ireland.”

The Guardian is offering five free double passes to the show. Go to click below for details on how to win passes to this high-intensity show.
