Kylie energy wows crowd

KYLIE Minogue fans were treated to a high-energy interactive show on Friday night at the Swan Hill Town Hall as Lucy Holmes bought her internationally acclaimed performance to the local stage.

Featuring four dancers, a band and 11 full replica costume changes, the audience was treated to some of Kylie’s big hits and also a medley of ABBA songs.

Ms Holmes and her dancers worked their way around the auditorium during several of the songs and she also invited audience members to join her and her troupe on stage.

Performing as Kylie for more than 20 years, the musical theatre graduate describes the show as a mini Kylie musical.

Endorsed by Kylie Minogue herself as the best Kylie act in the world, the show has toured internationally numerous times and continues to tour Australia regularly.

Ms Holmes said that it was pretty wild when Kylie Minogue actually endorsed her show.

“It’s very rare, I think, for impersonators to have that, so it was definitely a milestone moment,” Ms Holmes said.

“She is one of the most enduring artists of this generation, her career just goes from strength to strength.

“The great thing is that Kylie is having a resurgence, with her last album charting so well and she also has her Vegas residency and she has just done a television special, her career is going so well.

“It is so lovely to be able to homage to her success, it’s a lot of fun.”
