A MUSICAL collaboration between Delsinki and Brooke Taylor, The Deserters will be performing at the Swan Hill Town Hall on Sunday, March 10.
The duo bring to life a folk style with what is described as a touch of blues.
With original compositions and a few new cover versions, this show will feature mostly new songs.
They have written a fresh batch of songs specific to the project.
Taylor plays guitar and Delsinki banjo, mandolin and harmonica.
Delsinki has been performing professionally for more than 30 years and Taylor 25 years.
They wrote their first EP together in 2016, but their careers have been intertwined for longer than that.
St Kilda-based Delsinki has graced the stage in Swan Hill several times in the past.
Delsinki said the show was very harmony-based as the pair had been performing together for a while.
“Vocally we sort of sit in each other’s pocket, which is really nice,” Delsinki said.
“There are also strong melodies and interesting arrangements on various instruments.”
The show is a preview of their new album that will be released in July.
