INXS tribute show returning to ‘great town’

THE Australian INXS Show is making its way back to Swan Hill in August due to the overwhelming audience response to its first appearance in Swan Hill last year.

The high-energy show had locals up and dancing to the music of the legendary Australian rock sensation.

The group is fronted by the dynamic Dellacoma Rio, whose infectious energy gets the crowds going to the songs made famous by the celebrated rock group.

After performing last year, Rio said the Swan Hill audience was absolutely fantastic.

“We built this show to be energetic regardless of what the audience does but when the audience actually gets into it, like they did here, that just creates this ball of energy that you can feed off,” Rio said.

“It was incredible for us on stage to see the people leaving their seats and coming up on the dance floor and just getting into it.

“Looking out from the stage and seeing the smiles, well, that’s why we do it.”

The band was started more than 10 years ago by Rob Moody, who portrays Kirk Pengilly in the show, and a couple of other band members.

Moody learnt to play the saxophone specifically for the show and has been the driving force behind the act.

He said that it was an awesome audience last year and an incredible venue as well as a great town.
