Storer at Mystic

ARIA Award winning Australian country singer-songwriter Sara Storer will perform at the Mystic Park Hotel after her gig for Robinvale’s centenary celebrations.

The upcoming show on Sunday afternoon, October 27, will be the hotel’s first ticketed event.

Co-owner and publican Michele Minogue said they were fortunate enough to have Ms Storer and her band perform at their small country pub.

“They are already going to be in the area, and through our connections, they were able to ring us up and ask if we would be available for them to perform on the Sunday,” Ms Minogue said.

“We’re really excited that a musician with her experience and the calibre of musicians she’s bringing with her are able to play for our community.

“The music that we usually provide at the hotel supports the local artists of the area and we make it a free gig for all when we have artists perform at our hotel.”

Local singer songwriter Sophie Kelly will be performing on the day as a supporting act.

“She plays often at the pub and she’s another example of a fantastic local artist,” Ms Minogue said.

“She writes her own music and she also sings covers as well, so we’re really proud to have her supporting Sara and her band.”

Ms Minogue said a new outdoor space at the hotel will be open for the first time to accommodate the audience for Ms Storer’s performance.

She hopes the upcoming event will put the Mystic Park Hotel on the map.

“Ideally, we’d love to be known as a venue where acts like Sara Storer would like to play,” she said.
