Pete Murray concert ‘opportunity’

AUSTRLIAN singer-song writer Pete Murray will visit Swan Hill for one show only on May 18 as part of his nation-wide solo acoustic tour.

This is Murray’s biggest touring event ever, with 55 dates booked across Australia between May and September.

Murray needs little introduction; as one of Australia’s most successful musicians he has sold more than 1.2 million albums, released three ARIA chart-topping albums, and boasts 17 ARIA Awards.

This is Murray’s first ever solo tour on home soil.

Armed with an acoustic guitar and a stunning back catalogue of hits to create his setlists from including Better Days, Opportunity and So Beautiful, Murray will be supported by Rachael Fahim and Brett Wood.

Murray said a solo tour in his home country had long been an ambition.

“I’ve never done a solo tour in Australia before, so it’s been on the cards for a while,” he said.

“I’ve done it overseas and people love it – so it’s about time I did it in my own country.

“There will be some storytelling of my songs, my life and career in an intimate style show.”

Murray will perform at Swan Hill Town Hall PACC from 6.30pm.

Tickets are $84.90 and are on sale.
