ABBA Bjorn Again in Swan Hill

GET ready to channel your inner “Dancing Queen” as internationally acclaimed ABBA tribute act Bjorn Again lights up the stage at Swan Hill Town Hall on Saturday, May 24 at 8pm.

Marking 50 years since ABBA’s iconic Eurovision win, Bjorn Again celebrates their legacy with the Waterloo Anniversary Tour; a glittering celebration of sequins, singalongs, and shimmering nostalgia.

“It’s more than just a tribute,” said Bjorn Again promoter and performer Frida Longstokin.

“With their spot-on performances, dazzling costumes, and high-octane energy, it’s a night full of nostalgia, well-known hits, and even some beautiful ballads.”

Since their debut at The Tote Hotel in Collingwood, Melbourne 36 years ago, Bjorn Again has grown into a global sensation, playing to packed theatres across the world.

The show is performed entirely in character, with “meticulous attention to detail” and “choreography that captures the true spirit of ABBA.”

“And there’s a tonne of glitter and blue eyeshadow involved,” Longstokin said.

“So you know it’s going to be fun.”

Fans can expect a setlist of ABBA’s biggest hits, including Waterloo, Mamma Mia, Take a Chance on Me, and of course, Dancing Queen.

“We want everyone to feel like they’re part of the show and take a trip down memory lane with us,” Ms Longstokin said.

“There’s humour, surprises, and a few new twists to keep things fresh.”

Swan Hill resident Genevieve Curtis is one of many excited to see the show.

“ABBA has really stood the test of time,” she said.

“Even after 50 years, you put on Dancing Queen and everyone gets up; sometimes with a hairbrush!”

Looking back on ABBA’s golden era, Mrs Curtis said “you were either Agnetha or Frida.

“The girls’ voices harmonised so perfectly. They were prolific.”

Beyond the glitz and glam, Ms Longstokin says the show is family-friendly and inclusive.

“It’s a show for everyone; all ages, all abilities, all walks of life.

“We want as many people as possible to join us.

“People leave feeling amazing and talking about it for weeks.”

She added, “it’s the best tribute show you’ll ever see; with dazzling lights, iconic outfits, and audience participation built into the act.”

The Waterloo Anniversary Tour is a “dance-along, singalong spectacular” celebrating the enduring legacy of ABBA’s music.

Relive the magic and “immerse yourself in the joy, glamour, and timeless sound that have enchanted generations.”

Tickets are priced between $85 and $89, with the show running for two hours, including a 20-minute interval.

Tickets are available via the Swan Hill Town Hall website.
